ESA's goal is to make it EASY and AFFORDABLE for individuals to become instructors and spread the educational training on health and fitness! Other fitness certification organizations such as AFAA and ACE can run from $333 - $580 in addition to the time commitment involved in attending the certification training classes. In this ESA “mentor” program you will receive the study materials and be doing the program in a self-study fashion with me as your personal trainer to answer questions and help with the practical application of the training. With ESA (unlike ALL the other programs) you NEVER lose your extra continuing education credits. They can be “saved” for your next renewal or can be put toward a “multi-year” certification renewal. Also, once you have your primary certification, ESA offers certifications in many other areas of fitness such as: Kickbox, Pilates, Yoga, Aqua, Step, Personal Training, Lateral Slide and Nutrition. One of the most important aspects of ESA to me is the high importance they place on safety! All their training emphasizes the proper and safest way to teach the exercises!
Lastly they are a very accessible and nice group of people to work with or work for!!
www.discountdance.com - Take a look at the DANCE SNEAKERS by Bloch. This is what I wear for my dance classes and I highly recommend them. They are light, flexible and allow for easy twisting and moving around so there is less impact on the knee. These types of shoes can also be found at the local dance stores.NOTICE: I am now enrolled in the Group Fitness Teacher Loyalty Program, and all my students can now use the following code to get 10% discounts off every purchase from this website: TP52808
www.ryka.com- For Step or "floor" aerobics classes I like the STUDIO shoes at Ryka. I get the "higher top" for more support for my feet. You can also get discounts by mentioning that you were referred by your instructor.
